Firefighter Arrested for Warehouse Fire Submitted: 11/16/2009
PRESQUE ISLE - A volunteer firefighter has been arrested for starting a fire that destroyed a warehouse in Presque Isle on Friday night.

Local authorities arrested Timothy MacFarline, 23, of Easton Sunday after investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire at Northeast Packaging Company’s storage facility was intentionally set. The 45,000-square foot metal building on Rice Street was used to store paper and plastic bags along with manufacturing chemicals. MacFarline was a volunteer with the Presque Isle Fire Department and has been suspended pending further investigation.
