Weekend Car Accident Kills One, Injures Another Submitted: 09/28/2009
PORTER - A weekend car crash killed a 25-year-old Denmark man this weekend in the Oxford County town of Porter.

The Oxford County Sheriff's Department says Zachary Kruczek died at the scene of the crash early Sunday morning. His passenger, 20-year-old Jared Eastman, also of Porter, was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland and is listed in fair condition. Deputies say Kruczek was heading east on Route 25 when he was unable to make the curve. The car went into the opposite lane, hit an embankment, went into the air and then rolled over. Police say they believe speed was a factor in the crash.
