Son Charged with 80-year-old Mother's Death Submitted: 08/26/2009
MONMOUTH - The son of an 80-year-old woman has now been charged with killing her.

State Police charged 43-year-old Kenneth McDonald Tuesday night with the death of his 80-year-old mother. The body of Janice McDonald was found in the home the mother and son shared in Monmouth Monday evening. State Police will not say how the woman died, or what a possible motive may be. Authorities had been looking for Kenneth McDonald since Monday evening and he was taken into custody just after 1 p.m. on Bailey Island in Harpswell when someone reported a man loitering outside the Land's End Gift Shop.
