Home Intruder Met at Gunpoint Submitted: 06/16/2009
PRINCETON - A downeast woman is being referred to as Annie Oakley after a run-in with a gunman.

When 77-year-old Doris Gatchell of Princeton heard there was an armed intruder in her home, she pulled a gun on him. According to court documents, the suspect, Dean T. Moore, ran out of the home when the elderly woman confronted him. Moore made his first court appearance yesterday in Washington County Superior Court. He faces up to 30 years in jail and fines of up to $50,000 on each of two charges of Burglary with a Firearm and Robbery.
