3 Men Arrested for Providing Alcohol to Minors Submitted: 05/04/2009
Machias - Three men were arrested over the weekend in Washington County for providing alcohol to minors.

Jay Beaudoin, 45, of Pembroke; Michael Hinerman, 23, of Machiasport; and Royce Bedbury, 21,were all taken into custody after a party at a camp.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department was informed last week that a function linked to Greek Weekend at the University of Maine-Machias would feature a large amount of underaged drinking.

The event was traced to Love Lake in Crawford where authorities shut down the event, and seized three kegs of beer and drinking paraphernalia.

Beaudoin was charged with furnishing a place for minors to possess or consume liquor. Hinerman and Bedbury were both charged with furnishing liquor to minors.

Ten juveniles were charged with possession of liquor and released.
