CHERRYFIELD - The body of a man who was reported missing, following an early morning fire in Cherryfield Wednesday, has been found.
Shortly before 1:00 Wednesday afternoon, the body of 35-year-old Christopher Farnsworth was discovered by firefighters amidst the rubble of his destroyed farmhouse. The blaze was reported at 4:15am on Milbridge Road where Farnsworth lived with his mother. She told officials that Christopher woke her saying his bedroom was on fire and that he was going to get some water to try to put it out. The woman managed to get outside, but he did not. The State Medical Examiner’s Office examined the body yesterday in Ellsworth, but a cause of death has not been released.
