Barrett Hired as Lewiston Administrator

LEWISTON - Not long after the City Council voted to remove him from his position, Bangor City Manager Ed Barrett has a new job.
Barrett was officially introduced as the new City Administrator of Lewiston this morning after being unanimously selected by that city’s council last night. Just last week, Bangor city councilors voted for the second time to remove Barrett as City Manager because they said he did not share their same vision for the future of the city. But in Lewiston, Barrett already has some big goals, such as generating new jobs and income, and redeveloping the downtown area and waterfront, but he says his first task is to listen. Barrett’s first day on the job will be January 11th.
