More than 5,000 Central Maine Power customers will be without electricity early Saturday morning as the company completes some system improvements.
Beginning at 1AM, power will be out until 8AM for customers in Belfast, Frankfort, Hampden, Monroe, Prospect, Searsport, Stockton Springs and Winterport. CMP crews will be removing a portion of transmission line out of the Belfast substation that is no longer used.
