Dexter Man Confesses to Burglary Submitted: 03/09/2010
Dexter - A Dexter man is in jail after leading police on a chase and confessing to a burglary.

20-year-old Chad Beal ran from his home at around 11 o'clock Sunday morning during a probation check. Beal was ordered not to have contact with his girlfriend, who was at the residence at the time.

Authorities chased Beal and took him in to custody a few hours later.

While being questioned, officers say Beal confessed to an October break-in of a Cedar Street home in which about $10,000 worth of items was stolen.

Beal has been charged with violation of bail conditions and burglary.

He is scheduled to make his first court appearances in April.
